A poetic film on european seaweed species from the intertidal range

The video installation reveals the powerful, eternal and rhythmic movement of the tides. It focusses on the intertidal range, an undefined space between land and sea. This very specific area is where the seaweed grows and a place where people need to adapt their rhythm in order to harvest it.

Related to the tides is the transformation of the seaweed from a majestically moving part of an underwater forest into a collapsed pile that has to protect itself through clever mechanisms from the sunlight.

The film works as a visual and poetic essay of A Drive For Seaweed.
